It’s Friday, so it must be time to review some of the things going on in Columbus this weekend. It looks like it will be unseasonable warm but wet on Sunday—a perfect day to visit AMAZE Escape Games or catch Crew FC on TV. Whatever you end up doing this weekend, I hope it’s a great one!

Christmas Ale Tapping & Barley’s 25th Anniversary

Friday 6:30pm

This year’s tapping is extra special because it is also Barley’s 25th year in business! As always, they’ll be tapping their traditional Christmas Ale, with none other than Columbus’ own former Mayor Coleman as guest tapper! And if the spirit of the event has you inquiring about more info on great craft beer, you’re in luck, because local author Curt Scheiber will be speaking about his book, “Columbus Beer: Recent Brewing and Deep Roots”, and offering some issues for sale.

Extra Life: 24-Hour Board Game Marathon for Children’s Hospital

Saturday 11am – Sunday 11am

The Beers and Board Games Club of Columbus is hosting their 3rd annual 24-hour gaming event to benefit Nationwide Children’s Hospital on November 4 at Four String Brewing’s West Side Production Facility – and Four String Brewing Company will be donating $1 from every beer sold!

Ohio State Football at Iowa

Saturday 3:30pm

The Buckeyes play unranked Iowa in Iowa City. Catch the game on ESPN.

Columbus Crew at New York Red Bulls

Sunday 5pm

The Crew visits the Red Bulls to play the second leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinal. Columbus won the first leg 4-1, giving them a commanding lead heading to New York. The Red Bulls have to win by 4 goals in order to advance to the Conference Final. Watch the game on ESPN.
